“Cloudvisions” is an ongoing photo project which Debarshi Duttagupta has been shooting for the last 17 years to celebrate “water.” His preferred subjects are clouds, storms, and the people of Kolkata and their everlasting bonding with the river Hoogly, which is a tributary of River Ganges. Debarshi is fully aware that the future of clouds, storms, and the river Hoogly is now getting seriously challenged by climate change and the utter disregard for conservation by the human race. Clean water is important, and so is our all-out effort to keep the river clean. Photography is a very powerful medium, and Debarshi hopes to make people more aware of what we are about to lose if we do not work together to save our planet.
